bio
23-year-old Carlina de Place is a Copenhagen-born alt-pop artist and songwriter with ambitions reaching far beyond Denmark. At 17, she dropped out of high school to pursue music full-time, balancing SheCanPlay and MGK while her friends were still in class.
Carlina writes her own music and records and produces all of her vocals herself, with her distinctive layered
harmonies becoming a signature also heard on albums by Danish artists KESI and Hans Philip.
Now signed to Sony Music Publishing Scandinavia, Carlina has received extensive global Spotify support as an independent artist while building a strong creative network in Los Angeles, where she regularly writes and collaborates.
Her debut album, You Said Jump… And I Flew, arrives October 2, celebrated with release events in both Copenhagen and LA.
Back home, Carlina has been named P3’s Uundgåelige and headlined some of Scandinavias biggest festivals like Roskilde Festival and Smukfest. With one foot in Copenhagen and the other in LA, she is building an international career firmly on her own terms.
